    Walton gets National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award

    Walton gets National Productivity and Quality Excellence AwardIndustries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun is handing over the crest of National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award 2018 to Walton Group’s Executive Director SM Zahid Hasan at a programme, organised by National Productivity Organisation (NPO) at Diploma Engineers Institute in the capital on Sunday (July 28, 2019).

    NBS REPORT – 

    The country’s electronics giant ‘Walton’ has received the ‘National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award 2018’ for its outstanding contribution to high productivity as well as produce highest standard products.

    Under the category of large industry, Walton got the award from the Industries Ministry. This year, a total of 28 industrial and service-oriented entities, including Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited, received the awards under six categories, namely large industry, medium industry, small industry, micro-industry, cottage industry and state-owned enterprises.

    The awardees were honoured with crests and certificates at a programme, organised by National Productivity Organisation (NPO) at Diploma Engineers Institute in the capital on Sunday (July 28, 2019).

    Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun attended the function as the chief guest and State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mazumder was present as special guest. 

    Industries Secretaries Md. Abdul Halim presided over the programme while NPO Director SM Ashrafuzzaman was also present. 

    Walton Group’s Executive Director SM Zahid Hasan received the award’s crest and certificate from Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun while Walton Group’s Deputy Executive Director Sharif Harunur Rashid, Media Adviser Enayet Ferdous, among others, were present.

    Mentionable, Walton is one of the leading electronics, electrical and ICT devices manufacturing companies in Bangladesh. The ‘Made in Bangladesh’ labelled Walton products are now being exported to nearly 20 nations of the world. Recently, Walton has exported its produced televisions to Germany.  

    Walton is making outstanding contributions to reduce the import dependency, raise the positive image of Bangladesh in the international arena through exporting locally produced world-class electronics and electrical appliances.

    The local brand has received several prestigious awards at national and international levels like National Environment Award 2018 under the category of environment protection and pollution control, Global Excellence Award 2014, DHL-Daily Star Bangladesh Business Award 2014, Highest Tax Payer Award in the Dhaka International Trade Fair for the 8th times etc.
